Telling the museums.
A visual identity for the Civic Museums of Bassano del Grappa
In recent years, museums increasingly came across the need to engage with visitors, as in the ability to explain their own contents in an efficient and pleasant way, as in being able to be attractive, by communicating their qualities and their “services”.
In this context, graphic design is an essential tool of which cultural institutions take advantage to be able to improve and increase the clarity of their communication and the ability to connect in an effective way at multiple levels to the public.
This project moves from these considerations and aims to provide the Civic Museums of Bassano del Grappa of a consistent and wide-range visual identity system that organizes and facilitates its communication, the ability to attract and recognition by a large and diverse audience.
A visual identity system declinable consistently in a variety of applications through which the institution develops a clear and distinctive “voice”, an instantly recognizable and easy-to-read image.
The main thing that all the collections have in common is the idea of surface, wether it’s the canvas of the paintings, the pottery or the paper of the Remondini’s prints.
The logos are made up by an ever changing series of dynamic combinations of surfaces.
